My Experience
In my early career I gained experience working in therapeutic drug and alcohol services. It was here that I developed a passion for working with the individual and seeing beyond labels and stereotypes that can accompany psychological disorders. I have continued to work within alcohol and other drug services for over fifteen years. Most recently I have worked in clinical research roles at UNSW and the University of Sydney. I remain actively engaged in research, publishing peer-reviewed journal articles and presenting at academic conferences. You can see a list of my publications here.
I have also worked in private practice where I have been able to further my training and experience working with anxiety disorders in young people, post-natal anxiety and depression along with parenting approaches that honour the child-parent relationship and remain respectful to all family members.
I am a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor and I provide clinical supervision to clinical psychologists and those undergoing their clinical registrar programs.
